Nikki is in the Kitchen to tell us the health benefits of Basil.

  • Many people only associated basil with Italian cuisine, however there are so many varieties of Basil available, such as Thai Basil.
  • Basil is great for the immune system as it is packed with Vitamin C and also contains Iron, Calcium, Potassium and magnesium.
  • In traditional medicine it can be used to help with stomach spasms as well as preventing the common cold.
  • Nikki loves to blend Basil with Garlic, toasted Pine Nuts and lemon juice to make an amazing pesto sauce – Give it a try!
